An Ode to the Bookworm
(Or, ‘Readers of the World Unite!’)
‘My name is Laura, and I’m a bookaholic’.
Say it loud, say it proud.
We will fight for our right to read at the dinner table; to ignore others while in the middle of particularly good chapter; and to bore others with recommendations of those books that they ‘just have to read’.
We will fight them in the libraries, we will fight them in the bookshops.
So, readers of the world unite!
You have nothing to lose but your time (whilst you spend all day deep in a book).
And, may we never, never, be without something to read on the train!!
